A Winston-Salem Journal editorial posted on Tuesday, September 8, reports:

“Winston-Salem authorities want to shut down Lollipops, an adult club across Cherry Street from Benton Convention Center, the Journal’s Wesley Young reported last week. In a complaint filed May 27 in Forsyth County Superior Court, the city alleges that the club has been the site of multiple crimes, including numerous assaults, fights, larcenies or robberies and instances of prostitution — not to mention sexual assaults, vandalism, disturbances, unlawful possession of dangerous weapons, discharging firearms and drunk and disruptive behavior.”
