The Winston-Salem Chamber’s Construction Industry Council is piloting an employment fair to assist construction sub-contractors in finding the immediate talent they need. The Employment Fair will be held for select 12th-grade students during Glenn High School’s College and Career Fair on March 25th. Interested employers should provide a company summary, which will be given to students in advance in order to match them with the opportunities they’re most interested in. Interviews will be conducted with the students who match those potential opportunities. Contact Rodessa Mitchell to participate.
Area colleges and universities will also participate, providing students with information about enrollment, financial aid, degree and certificate options, and more.
The Chamber’s Construction Industry Council promotes workforce development strategies that help to fill the need for talent in the skilled trades including manufacturing, contracting, construction and architecture, and more.
