In recent news, we’ve heard about many organizations and individuals donating resources to support disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane (and Tropical Storm) Harvey, which has caused massive flooding and destruction in the Houston, Texas area.

We are proud that our members have joined in the effort! WXII 12 News raised over $234,000 — including a $150,000 donation from the Reynolds American Inc. Foundation. BB&T is donating $100,000 to the American Red Cross of Greater Houston with shipments of supplies to the area already under way.

Many other Chamber members and community leaders have donated and are donating to this relief effort and, from the bottom of our hearts, we say THANK YOU!
