The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board in partnership with the Mask the City project will provide masks and training to local businesses.
In partnership with the Mask the City, community-wide effort, the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board is launching the Workplace Restart initiative. This innovative effort will provide Nightingale Face Masks and COVID- 19 health training to local employers and their staff. This program will be available for employers this week.
As companies prepare to reopen, they are charged with protecting their staff and customers during a global pandemic. The Workplace Restart initiative is focused on getting business back to work while ensuring the health and safety of our workforce. The Workplace Restart initiative will provide up to two quality face masks for each employee of participating companies and provide COVID- 19 workplace health and safety training for employers and employees.
“Workplace Restart ensures essential resources and educational tools are available for local businesses. Programs like Workplace Restart and Mask the City are critical to building public confidence and workforce safety while reinvigorating our communities, as we move away from Stay At Home orders,” said Matthew Dolge, Executive Director of the Piedmont Triad Regional Council.
“As we prepare as a business community to reopen, we are proud to partner with the Piedmont Triad Regional Council and Mask the City to ensure our small business community is well-informed and protected. These steps will help keep employees and the public safer as we all strive to keep transmission rates down and continue to progress through a phased reopening,” said Mark Owens, the President of Greater Winston Salem Inc.
