Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Planning and Development Services has published their quarterly Development Dashboard, showing a record-setting year in 2017. The year-end report finds that nonresidential construction has set a 3rd consecutive 10-Year Value record. Permit values totaled $378 million. The four largest downtown developments which broke ground in 2017 are The Link at Innovation Quarter, Reynolds American renovations, Hotel Indigo, and the Bailey Power Plant.
New residential construction in 2017 included permits for 1,255 new homes, an increase from the previous year.
